1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Easebite application (“App”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Easebite is a meal companion for iOS and Android. You can:
- Photograph a meal, or choose a photo from your library
- See foods the photo appears to show, and one small adjustment that may be easier on your stomach
- Save what tends to bother you, foods that are usually fine, food allergies, and an optional bedtime
- Note how you felt after a meal
- Use an on-device eating rhythm while you chew
- Receive local reminders, if you turn them on
- Subscribe to continue without a rewarded ad
Easebite does not operate servers that store your meals. Photos, feelings, and your profile stay on your device, except for the requests described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Not Medical Advice
Easebite is an informational companion. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Meal suggestions, food names, and patterns drawn from your after-meal notes:
- Can be incomplete or wrong
- Are not a reason to start, stop, or change medication, or to ignore symptoms
- Do not replace a doctor, dietitian, or allergist
Allergies. A photo may not show every ingredient, sauce, or point of cross-contact. Removing a visible piece does not make the rest of the meal safe. Check the package or ask the restaurant. If you have a food allergy, do not rely on the App to decide whether a meal is safe to eat.
Symptoms. Reflux, bloating, pain, nausea, burning, and early fullness can have causes the App cannot see. Seek medical care for severe, persistent, or worsening symptoms, and for any emergency.
Eating rhythm. One circle is one bite and one step is one chew. You can stop at any time. The rhythm is not a chewing quota, not a score, and not a judgment of how you ate.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the App only for lawful personal purposes, and you are responsible for:
- Keeping your device secure
- Making sure photos and notes you add are lawful and are yours to use
- Not reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying the App
- Not using the App to decide that a meal is safe for someone with an allergy
- Decisions you make about what to eat
4.1 Your Content
You keep ownership of the photos and notes you create. Easebite does not claim ownership of them. They are stored on your device and are not uploaded to Easebite servers. A photo is sent to a model provider only when you analyze that meal, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Privacy and Data
5.1 Local-First
Your profile, meals, photos, feelings, and chew counts are stored on your device. We do not run an account system or a cloud copy of your meals.
5.2 Services That Need the Internet
Some features need a connection:
- Meal analysis: When you analyze a meal, that photo and the stomach notes described in the Privacy Policy are sent to Alibaba DashScope.
- Repeated-food comparison: After you save feelings, if one food appears in two rated meals, food names and those yes-or-no answers may be sent as text. The photo is not included.
- Ads, crashes, and purchases: Google AdMob, Firebase, and Apple or Google may process the data described in the Privacy Policy.

6. AI Features
Meal recognition and the small adjustment use Alibaba DashScope. This:
- Needs an internet connection
- Runs only for a meal you choose to analyze
- Returns results to your device
- Does not store the photo on Easebite servers
The eating-rhythm camera does not use DashScope. Chew detection runs on the device.
Results are suggestions about what the photo appears to show. They can miss foods, misname them, or propose an adjustment that does not fit you. Use your own judgment.
7. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
7.1 Purchases
Easebite offers optional premium subscriptions, including weekly and yearly plans. Purchases are processed by:
- Apple App Store (StoreKit) on iOS
- Google Play (Google Play Billing) on Android
Payment terms, billing, and receipts follow Apple’s or Google’s policies. Easebite does not collect or store your card number.
7.2 Auto-Renewal
A subscription renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your store account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Manage or cancel in:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
7.3 Free Trials and Price
If a free trial is offered, any unused part of the trial ends when you subscribe. Prices depend on your region and are shown in the App before you pay.
7.4 Refunds
Refund requests go to Apple or Google. Easebite cannot refund a store purchase directly.
7.5 Restore
You can restore a previous purchase with Restore purchases on the subscription screen, if Apple or Google can verify it.
8. Advertising
Free users may be asked to watch a rewarded video ad, served by Google AdMob, before a meal analysis. A subscriber continues without that step. Ads follow Google’s policies.
9. Updates and Availability
The App may update to add features, fix defects, or meet store requirements. We try to keep it available, and service can still be interrupted by your device or system, your network, or by DashScope, Firebase, AdMob, or the app stores.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Easebite and its developers are not liable for:
- Loss of data stored only on your device
- The App or a third-party service being unavailable
- A meal choice, an allergic reaction, or a symptom you connect to an App suggestion
- A wrong food name, a missed ingredient, or an adjustment that does not suit you
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
Some places do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits. In those places, the limits above apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that exclusion is prohibited.
11. Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. These Terms apply while you use the App. We may stop offering the App or a feature, and will give notice when that is practical.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. The new version will be posted on this page. If you keep using the App after that update is posted, the updated Terms apply to that use.

14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the developer of the App operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please write to the email above first so we can try to resolve a dispute directly.
